Mercer’s 20th Annual Victorian Weekend

You are invited to make an application to participate in the Annual Mercer Victorian Weekend. The success of the festival is due to the unique atmosphere of the Victorian Period. The event will consist of artists and craftspeople. All medium and styles, traditional and contemporary crafts, will be considered.
Rules and Regulations
A non refundable (if accepted) fee of $50.00 per 10’x 10’ space must accompany your application. A commercial vendor non refundable fee of $100.00 per 10’x 10’ Limited amount of commercial vendors are available. Rejections and reimbursements are mailed after final selections are determined. Exhibitors’ booths must not interfere with adjacent exhibits. All booths will be set back two feet from the sidewalk. All artisans must exhibit their own work and all items must be handcrafted. A separate area will be set up for limited commercial booths.
NEW – Best Costume Contest for vendors only – Prizes awarded on Sunday afternoon. Criteria: dress in the Victorian Era (1840 – 1910). 10% off your booth rental if you demonstrate in the morning hours 11AM to 2:00PM or afternoon hours 2:00 to 5:00 PM both days. Mark your application.
Bonus Hours: On Friday, EARLY SET UP by Noon to 8 PM – You may attract the following: Courthouse employees (500 people) & concert attendees (1000). During this time; courthouse employee lunchtime; Noon to 1:30PM, courthouse employee dismissal at 4:30 p.m. and evening concert from 6:30 to 9 PM.
At least two pictures (no slides) of your art/craft must be submitted. Spaces will be assigned according to category, variety of artwork sold and on a first come first serve basis. Only original works by the exhibitor/booth participants are to be displayed. Exhibited may only sell the types of wares indicated in the contract. The Victorian Weekend Committee reserves the right to use submitted exhibitor's photos for the website and other advertising purposes. A self- addressed, stamped envelope must be enclosed for your notification. Photo will be returned at the show.
Exhibitors must furnish their own displays, tables, table coverings, chairs, canopies, etc. Please make your area attractive; tables must be covered to the floor. Victorian displays are strongly encouraged.
Exhibitors must wear costumes of the Victorian Period (1840 – 1910) for all days of the festival. Everyone must be in costume- including helpers, women in skirts and blouses, or long dresses, men in dress pants and collar shirt. CONTEST for the best Victorian costume and best Victorian display. Please have your helpers dressed too. NO JEANS! In the event of extreme heat and at the sole discretion of the festival organizers, the attire will be relaxed to allow shorts and light shirts. All exhibitors must be set up for the two days of the event. No early breakdowns will be permitted.
Sponsor is not responsible for any and all injury, liability, loss, or damage that may occur to property or self, while on the premises. Insurance must be placed and paid by the exhibitor.
The festival organizers reserve the right to ask an exhibitor to leave the grounds if the regulations and rules are not kept. Refunds will not be made to the exhibitor in the case.
